Adacta's tasks consist of providing a comprehensive software solution, its implementation and employee training as well as solution system maintenance. Adacta expects to finish the overall project within a year, creating the directory using know-how and experience acquired in fruitful co-operation with Telekom Slovenije during the development and publishing of "Telefonski imenik Slovenije" (Slovenian Telephone Directory) in printed and electronic forms as well as cooperation with the Serbian company Telefonija. The electronic telephone directory for the Serbian market is just one of similar Adacta projects placing the Ljubljana-based company among the best system solutions providers for informational support and directory publishing in Europe. Adacta has been successfully developing software for electronic telephone directories and business directories and solutions for information support of their publishing for over ten years. During this process they have developed several telephone and business directories for the domestic and foreign users: TIS (Telefonski imenik Slovenije), PIRS, POS, Austrian Goldene Seiten, Hungarian directories Magyaroszág Üzleti Telefonkönyve and Telefonkönyv Budapest, etc. One of the outstanding characteristics of Adacta's services and solutions is their comprehensiveness; production of the Serbian telephone directory will thus incorporate the development of a data management module, a sales module, support for graphical advertising design, printed phonebook, internet directory, WAP directory and CD-ROM directory creation, full hardware installation and employee training. Adacta was selected as the most suitable bidder in a public tender in which four companies competed in the final selection process Ljubljana-based Adacta, a bidder from Belgrade, a Canadian, and a Danish company. Mr. Boris Kouta of Futura Investment Ltd., cooperating with Adacta's experts as a Serbian market consultant, greatly contributed to winning the project. The project also brings numerous competitive advantages to Telekom Srbija, which by concluding the electronic telephone directory development contract is proving its innovativeness, orientation towards a faster and high-quality telecommunications development and its pioneering role in the region. Over eight years of cooperation with Telekom Slovenije and intensive expansion in foreign markets witness the quality, applicability and technological advancement of Adacta's electronic phonebook.
Adacta, provider and creator of business, banking and telecommunication solutions is mostly known to the Slovenian public as the developer of the electronic "Telefonski imenik Slovenije" (Internet and CD-ROM versions), created in co-operation with Telekom Slovenije and re-issued for the 13th time this March . The web version of TIS is visited daily by over 30,000 users, placing the website among the most frequently visited Slovenian web pages. The CD-ROM version issued twice a year in more than 17,000 copies is probably the most widespread Slovenian Windows application.
Telekom Srbija has been operating as a joint-stock company since 1997 and employs over twelve thousand people. The company has approximately 2.4 million telephone subscribers, which is about sixty percent more than Telekom Slovenije. The new telephone directory is the first Serbian directory to be issued over the last ten years; therefore a high level of demand can reasonably be expected.
